Ishira Jewelry LLC ("Ishira", "we", "us") runs the online store at ishirajewelry.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, contact us or place an order, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are a small business based in Illinois, and we sell to customers in the United States.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Orders: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, the pieces you buy, ring size and any personalization you choose (for example in our Design Your Own ring builder).
  • Payments: payments are handled by Shopify and by the payment provider you choose (for example Shop Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Affirm). We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Messages and appointments: what you send us by email, phone, our website chat or contact form, and the details you give when you book an appointment.
  • Email sign-up: your email address (and anything else you choose to share) when you subscribe to our emails.
  • Reviews: your name or initials, rating, review text and any photos you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (from your IP address), pages viewed, products added to your cart, the site that referred you, and the time and length of your visit.
  • This information is collected with cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see "Cookies and tracking" below).

How we use your information

  • To make, ship and deliver your order, process payments, and handle returns, resizing and warranty repairs.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service, including chat and appointments.
  • To send order and shipping updates, and reminders if you leave items in your cart or checkout.
  • To send marketing emails if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To ask for, and display, product reviews.
  • To understand how our website is used, improve it, and measure and show our advertising on other sites and apps.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and misuse of our store, and to keep our website secure.
  • To comply with the law and to protect our rights.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed with service providers that help us run our business, and as described below:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store, checkout and order system, and provides Shop Pay, Shopify Inbox (our chat) and Shopify Email (our emails). See Shopify's privacy policy.
  • Payment providers you choose at checkout, such as PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Affirm (pay over time). Affirm may review your information to decide on financing, under its own privacy policy.
  • Shipping carriers (such as FedEx and UPS), to deliver your order.
  • Our jewelry workshop and design tools, to make your piece, including the provider of our Design Your Own ring builder.
  • Judge.me, which collects and displays product reviews and sends review-request emails after your order.
  • Calendly, if you book an appointment with us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (including YouTube), and Pinterest. Their pixels and tags on our website collect information about your visit and actions (for example, products viewed or purchased) to measure and improve our advertising and show you relevant ads. Our products may also be listed on sales channels run by these and other platforms (such as Google, Pinterest, Meta and Microsoft), where those platforms' own privacy policies apply.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to prevent fraud, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
  • Business transfers: if our business is sold or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We and our partners use them, along with pixels and similar tools, to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how our site is used, and measure and personalize advertising.

Your choices:

  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block all cookies, parts of our store (such as the cart and checkout) may not work.
  • To limit ads based on your activity, use the ad settings in your Meta, Google and Pinterest accounts, and the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • We treat the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for advertising.

Email marketing

If you subscribe to our emails, we'll send you news, new designs and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed. You'll still receive messages about your orders after unsubscribing.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as we need them to serve you (including returns, resizing and warranty service) and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. We keep other information only as long as it's useful for the purposes in this policy, and then delete or anonymize it.

How we protect information

Our store and checkout run on Shopify, which uses encryption and is PCI-DSS compliant for card payments. We limit who on our team can access customer information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • delete your personal information (subject to exceptions, such as records we must keep);
  • opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising, and of profiling; and
  • not be treated differently for using your rights.

Our use of advertising pixels (Meta, Google and Pinterest) may count as "sharing" or "selling" under some state laws. To opt out, email us at info@ishirajewelry.com with the subject "Do not sell or share" and use the advertising opt-outs above.

To make any request, email info@ishirajewelry.com or call (844) 474-4725. We will verify your request, usually by matching it to the email address on your order, and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that the agent is acting for you. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

Links to other websites

Our website links to other sites and services (such as social media, Affirm and Calendly). Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If we make a significant change, we'll show a notice on our website.
